It can be used in the process of food preparation; however, it is not to be consumed or ingested directly. It combines with fats and waxes to form water soluble soaps, that emulsify with oils which can be wiped or flushed away easily. Consumers use Caustic Soda Micro pearls for making soaps and detergents.
