After much research and experimentation I have come to the conclusion that it is highly unlikely to be possible to produce a completely natural candle made from essential oil that is cost effective.
Natural essential oils burn out rapidly at high heats therefore most of the scent is lost/burnt out during the manufacturing process when it is added to the hot wax prior to pouring the candle.
The candle will smell nice once the wax cools however upon lighting the candle it will produce very little to no essential oil scent and all you will smell is burning wax.
My conclusion, the most effective use for essential oils is to place a small amount in a diffuser as you will achieve hours of scent for only a few drops.
However, if you enjoy the ambiance of a burning candle check out the Havana Organic Natural melt option as they are the next best thing!
